Carmen Plaza de Jennings is a partner in the San Francisco, California office of Curiale Dellaverson Hirschfeld & Kraemer, LLP. She practices in the area of labor and employment law, with an emphasis on the representation of public sector employers, including cities, counties, community college districts, and special districts. Ms. Plaza de Jennings' practice involves all areas of labor and employment law, including labor negotiations, labor arbitrations, advice, training and litigation. She provides ongoing advice to clients regarding labor and employment matters, including employee discipline and performance issues, sexual harassment, the Americans With Disabilities Act, and the Fair Labor Standards Act. Ms. Plaza de Jennings has presented workshops and provided extensive training on such topics as sexual harassment, violence in the work place and employment discrimination. From 1978 to 1990, Ms. Plaza de Jennings worked as an attorney for the National Labor Relations Board. From 1985 to 1990 she was a Supervisory Attorney in the San Francisco Regional Office of the National Labor Relations Board. As a Supervisory Attorney, Ms. Plaza de Jennings handled complex trials and supervised all aspects of Board work, including the investigation and prosecution of unfair labor practice cases, and representation matters.
