Mr. Handman is a senior associate with the Los Angeles office of the law firm of Curiale Dellaverson Hirschfeld & Kraemer, LLP where he exclusively represents management in labor and employment matters. Most of Mr. Handman’s practice involves litigation on behalf of employers. He regularly represents employers in a wide variety of cases, involving employment discrimination and harassment issues, overtime and wage-hour and FMLA violations and trade secret/non-compete disputes. He also has significant experience in traditional labor issues representing employers in both unfair labor practice and election proceedings before the NLRB.
Mr. Handman, who formerly practiced in the Washington, D.C. area, has tried cases to defense verdicts in state and federal courts and in bench and jury trials. He has also successfully argued dispositive motions in courts around the country and in proceedings before federal and state agencies.
In addition to litigation, Mr. Handman also focuses on employer counseling and litigation avoidance. He has led sexual harassment and union avoidance training for employers across the country. In Washington, D.C., he was a regular lecturer on a variety of employment law topics to groups of human resources professionals.
Mr. Handman received his undergraduate degree from Cornell University and his law degree from The George Washington University Law School in Washington, D.C., where he was recognized for his performance in the law school’s moot court competition by being placed on the Moot Court Board.
