Theresa Langa is an associate with the firm of Curiale Dellaverson Hirschfeld & Kraemer, LLP, in San Francisco, California.  Ms. Langa’s practice focuses on employment law.  She regularly advises employers on preventative measures to avoid litigation.  The preventative aspect of her practice includes providing advice and counseling services on all employment-related matters including laws relating to discrimination, harassment and retaliation; federal and state requirements to implement a reduction in force; and California wage/hour requirements.  In addition, Ms. Langa provides employers advice on hiring and compensation structure; personnel policies; handbooks, terminations and severance agreements; and internal investigations.  Ms. Langa also provides litigation services for employers and is quite experienced in defending employers in single and multi-plaintiff cases against various employment-related claims, including discrimination, harassment and retaliation lawsuits and class action lawsuits for wage and hour claims.

Ms. Langa received her B.A. in History from the University of California at Berkeley in 1996.  She was awarded a scholarship to attend Vanderbilt University School of Law, where she graduated in 2000.  While attending law school, Ms. Langa served as an extern for Judge Martha Craig Daughtrey, United States Court of Appeals, Sixth Circuit.  In addition, she also worked for the Tennessee Attorney General’s Office Civil Litigation and State Services Division, where she worked with various attorneys in representing the state against employment lawsuits.  After graduating from law school, Ms. Langa worked as an associate for Seyfarth Shaw and Jones Day.

Ms. Langa is a member of the State Bar of California and is admitted to practice law in the United States District Courts for the Northern, Eastern, Central and Southern Districts of California.  Ms. Langa is a member of the Filipino Bar Associate of Northern California.
