Dena Narbaitz is Of Counsel with the firm in San Francisco. Ms. Narbaitz’ practice focuses upon employment law, including providing counseling and litigation services to employers on a wide range of issues affecting the workplace, including wrongful termination, discrimination, sexual harassment, retaliation and trade secrets claims. Ms. Narbaitz also has expertise in National Association of Securities Dealers, Inc. (NASD) and New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) arbitrations and commercial litigation. Prior to joining Curiale Dellaverson Hirschfeld & Kraemer, Ms. Narbaitz clerked for The Honorable William Cahill and The Honorable David Garcia of the San Francisco Superior Court from 1994-1996. She was an associate at Jenkins, Goodman & Neuman from 1996-1998. She was also an associate with Steefel, Levitt & Weiss from 1998-2002, and a Shareholder with that firm from 2002-2005. Ms. Narbaitz received a B.A. in Philosophy and a B.A. in Law and Society from the University of California, Santa Barbara in 1991 and her J.D. (magna cum laude) from Syracuse University College of the Law in 1994. While at Syracuse, she was a member of the Syracuse Law Review, which published her Note, Minimizing the Trauma: A Need for Change in State Conservatorship Laws as Applied to Same-Sex Life Partners, 44:2 Syracuse L. Rev. 803 (1993). Ms. Narbaitz is a member of the State Bar of California and is admitted to practice law in the United States District Courts for the Northern, Eastern, Central and Southern Districts of California, as well as the Ninth and Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals. Ms. Narbaitz has formerly served as Co-Chair for the Board of Directors of Pride Law Fund. She is currently a member of the Securities Industry Association (SIA) Compliance and Legal Division, the Executive Committee of the Bar Association of San Francisco (BASF), the Bay Area Lawyers for Individual Freedom (BALIF), and a member of Lambda Legal’s San Francisco Host Committee.
